As a photographer, I’m lucky enough to have so many knowledgeable, kind, and professional wedding industry friends – like Kirstie Archetti of Royal Beauty! We have had the privilege of working together for many weddings, engagement shoots, and boudoir sessions. Kirstie is a pleasure to work with, a wizard with her makeup brushes, and a true beauty industry professional.
If you’re going to get waxed or have any hair removal treatment, Kirstie recommends doing it at least a week before your big day. Sometimes a little bit of skin is removed during waxing, which can lead to difficulty in your makeup holding in those areas. Having a wax done early is also a good idea to give any wax-related breakouts time to clear up before your big day arrives.
Peels, Microdermabrasion, & laser treatments should not be on your wedding week to do list. Kirstie encourages brides to start a good skincare regimen around 6 months before a wedding. If you are able, regular facials are also fantastic to begin early in your engagement.
A bridal trial is the perfect time for you to get to know your makeup artist and communicate your expectations for your wedding day. Kirstie wants to hear all about your desired look and she loves seeing your Pinterest, inspiration photos of other people with a similar skin tone and eye color as you. Another pro tip – have your bridal trial done the day of your engagement photos! That way you can see how your makeup photographs.
Kirstie & I cannot stress enough – wearing lashes really does make a huge difference in photos! They open the eyes up, making them pop, and they give your natural lashes a fuller look. You can always try them at your trial and then decide if you would like to wear them.
We love seeing happy and healthy brides! While you are in a whirlwind of wedding planning, don’t forget to prioritize yourself. Stick to your skin care routine, drink water, and exercise. You deserve to not only look your best but also feel your best on your wedding day!
Awesome post.
Howdy! I know this is sort of off-topic but I had to ask.
Does running a well-established website such as yours take a
lot of work? I am brand new to operating a blog but I do write in my journal daily.
I’d like to start a blog so I can share my own experience and thoughts online.
Please let me know if you have any kind of suggestions or tips for brand new aspiring bloggers.
Appreciate it!
Thanks for your personal marvelous posting!
I definitely enjoyed reading it, you can be a great author.
I will be sure to bookmark your blog and may come back sometime soon. I want to encourage you to continue your great job, have a nice afternoon!
