Whether you call Amelia Island “home” or you are just visiting, I highly recommend capturing the moment with family sessions. Life can be super chaotic and busy, but one thing you will always have to keep and look back on memories with is photos. These are something that you can keep forever, but they can also be used to make amazing Christmas, birthday, or Mother’s/Father’s Day gifts.

If you are planning a trip to Amelia Island, one thing I would add to your to-do list is a professional family photo session. I may be biased, but I believe it is a must-do! Here on Amelia Island, we have so many beautiful spots to capture your family photo sessions, plus it is always easier when you have a professional that is helping in posing and positioning you and your family.

You would probably be surprised to hear that the majority of my business is families that travel here throughout the spring and summer for vacation. Whether you are traveling with immediate or extended family, I have packages for everyone! Even if you are on a time crunch, we can squeeze in a half session (which is 30 minutes) and get the perfect amount of photos. If you are working with little ones, I suggest planning around their nap schedules so that we are able to get the most out of the session as well!

If you are visiting Amelia Island and don’t normally have beach scenery, then this is most definitely the time to capture family photos. What better time to do so than in a place that isn’t where you normally are? Especially on the beach during sunrise or sunset! I always love golden hour on the beach and the photos always turn out amazing!

If you are traveling here and don’t want to spend money on a brand new dress for photos, ladies my client wardrobe is available to you as well! I know that deciding what to wear for family photos can be more difficult than actually taking the photos themselves. I recommend going more neutral and not trying to be overly matchy, coordinating is always best, especially with bigger groups because than can be hard to manage.
