Recently, I had the immense honor of having a Couples Session with the most inspiring pair, Will and Jennifer. Their story of navigating the unimaginable with their precious son, Jude, moved me deeply! This couple touched my heart in such a powerful way. I truly cannot wait until I am able to capture their wedding day in just a few weeks!

Jude’s Story

Over this past year, Jennifer and Will have faced every parent’s worst fear. Their son, Jude, was diagnosed with a severe heart disease. This diagnosis lead to Jude living in the hospital for several months, awaiting a transplant for a new heart. I couldn’t help but cry as I read this family’s story and considered everything this little boy had to endure. However, after months of waiting, Jude was finally able to get his donor heart on March 2nd, 2021!

Jude is now in full recovery and back to himself! I had the honor to meet this inspiring little boy, and he could not have been sweeter. Despite the pain that this family has been through, they exude nothing but kindness and love when you meet them.

Back when I was reading through Jude’s story, I saw a post from Jennifer that shook me to the core. I was crying like a baby as I reflected on her amazing perspective. Her post inspired me to become an organ donor myself. Instead of trying to recap her thoughts, I’ll share the words directly from Jennifer. I hope it inspires you the way it inspired me. 

“I have so many emotions today as my boy is healthy, thriving and is back to his old crazy, silly self in just one short month.

Meanwhile, another family has gone 30 days without their child. I’m sure they are experiencing heartbreak, devastation, loneliness and many other emotions. One day, I hope they will be able to meet Jude, hear their child’s heart and know that he/she is still living on and saved my son’s life. I am so grateful and thankful for their selflessness when they chose organ donation in their darkest hour.

I urge everyone to become an organ donor, as you never know how many lives you can save. If it weren’t for our donor family, Jude may not be here today. Sorry for the long post – I’m just feeling very thankful and blessed as we go into the Easter weekend. The Lord has blessed us tremendously and has been with us every step of the way.”

Over the last year, with all the pain and demands associated with Jude’s diagnosis, Jennifer and Will postponed their wedding. The two only wish to marry to one another now, having come out the other side of such darkness together. One can clearly see that Jennifer and Will are an amazing team. They deserve a life-time of happiness ahead of them! 

With that being said, I am grateful to join an amazing group of vendors who are giving their time and resources to provide this couple with their long-awaited wedding ceremony. We couldn’t create for a sweeter or most deserving couple! Will and Jennifer, we cannot wait to celebrate you! 

I truly love seeing God work in people’s lives and watching miracles unfold. Jennifer & Will are a perfect example, and it is an honor to know them!
