I recently had the opportunity to plan, prepare and photograph a beautiful surprise proposal on Amelia Island. Fort Clinch is the perfect beach location to shoot. Mitch and Madelyn are not residents to Fernandina Beach, so this spot felt more fitting.

Mitch reached out to me via Instagram asking if I would be interested in capturing their surprise proposal. Once he sent over his “inspo pictures” for the proposal, I was more than excited to help make his vision come to life.

Mitch and Madelyn have known each other since they were in high-school. Once they graduated college, their love story really began. Mitch says he has known that Madelyn was the one from the day they started dating. Their love for each other was very evident. They are clearly a beautiful couple, and their happiness really was radiant.

Mitch and Madelyn were on vacation on Amelia Island for Madelyn’s birthday. Mitch took this as his perfect opportunity to plan his surprise proposal. They enjoyed dinner together, and Madelyn thought they were taking a stroll on the beach. Then, she found the perfect picnic set up thanks to Luxe Picnics. She was completely surprised, which made the moment all the more special.

The ring was absolutely stunning, and I am sure we all want to see a close up!
