Wedding days are one of my favorites, especially when you get to capture couples like Nathan and Lena. Of course, I love every wedding/couple that I get to capture, but there was something so special about Nathan and Lena’s wedding day. This sweet couple has one of the most beautiful and authentic love for each other, and it is so evident when you spend time with them. I also got to travel to Valdosta, Georgia, and shoot at the venue Highgrove Farm and it was breathtaking!

How I Met Nathan and Lena

I met Nathan when he was in high school while I was taking photos for his prom, and I had no idea that years later I would be taking his proposal photos and then capturing his wedding day. I was so honored when Nathan and Lena asked me to be their wedding photographer. As I said before, their love for one another is so sweet and genuine. You can sense it just by spending a few minutes with them. Nathan and Lena met in college and were together almost 3 years before they tied the knot.

One of my favorite parts of a wedding day is getting to sneak away with the bride and groom and capture the two of them alone. Usually, this is after the ceremony so all of the nerves have settled down, and the couple is calm and ready to capture photos of their special day. These are the photos I know that will be looked back on, hung up on your walls in their home, and remembered forever, so these are the most important for me to capture.

The Bride

I couldn’t write this blog post without a special mention of how beautiful Lena looked! She was glowing, and the genuine smile on her face all day made her wedding day look! Her dress was simple, yet so elegant and stunning! We kept telling her all day that she could be in a bridal magazine.
