Here’s a family I absolutely adore : the Rhodes! They have meant so much to me over the years and I have been honored to know them (& photograph them)! 

I met this precious family at the Journey Church a few years back at a marriage event. To be honest with you, my marriage was deeply broken during that time of my life. I thought my relationship with my husband had no chance of recovery. It was a very dark time of my life. 

However, Kristen Rhodes was one of the people who brought God’s light into our dark situation. She took the time to invest in my broken family and pour Jesus into us. She never gave up on us, even when I thought it was over. Kristen truly showed us what the love of God looks like and it changed everything for us. 

Now, my marriage is in a completely different place. My family experienced the healing power of Jesus and the Rhodes family was a big part of that. Kristen prayed over me on the hard days and she still does! She loves me and my crazy boys, as I love her and hers. I’m genuinely lucky to call her my friend. 

Any chance I get to photograph this special family is a treat for me. These boys never cease to make me laugh and the love between Kristen and Cody is so tangible. They’re a beautiful family with the biggest hearts!
